The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer

This product has been on my wishlist for quite some time so when I saw it was on sale at feelunique.com I couldn't not purchase it. Mary-Lou Manizer has to be one of the most hyped up highlighters and now I completely understand why. Everything about this highlighter is beautiful, from the packaging to the product itself.

Mary-Lou Manizer is a shimmery, golden champagne highlighter with a soft buttery texture. It gives a warm glow to the skin without the annoying powdery feel. It is seriously pigmented, I like to apply it with a fan brush for a light dusting along the cheekbone and down the bridge of the nose. This is a multi-purpose product as it can be used as highlight and also as an eyeshadow, looks stunning in the inner corners of the eyes.

This is my first purchase from the balm, I don't know why I haven't tried them sooner because the packaging is right up my street. I look forward to trying the Betty-Lou Manizer.

What I Got For Christmas 2015

I am so sad Christmas and new year are both over.. I definitely have the January blues now.  I love being nosey and seeing what lovely things everyone got for christmas so I thought I'd do a what I got for Christmas post of my own, I've only included the perfume and makeup but I did get quite a few things that weren't really relevant to be posting on a beauty blog, like a coffee machine, speakers, pug ornament (My obsession with pugs is real).

My boyfriends mum bought me the Nicki Minaj perfume with the body lotion and shower gel and a few other bits. My mum got me the whole she bang big soap and glory set which included lots of full size soap and glory bath products and the soap and glory mascara and lipgloss. My boyfriend got me a few makeup bits which I picked out because he wouldn't have a clue otherwise.. I chose MAC lipsticks in Taupe and Faux, Urban Decay naked skin concealer in fair neutral and MAC mineralize skin finish in Give Me Sun.

What makeup did you get for christmas?

Nivea Men Post Shave Balm Primer

Okay so I have been trying out the Nivea Men Sensitive Post Shave Balm as a primer for the last few weeks after seeing Nikkie Tutorials raving about it in her youtube videos. She claimed that due to the high level of glycerin in this product it helps your makeup stick to your face and stay looking flawless all day.

I was eager to try this method as I have a problem with my foundation always seeming to disappear off certain areas of my face (mainly the centre of my forehead and my chin) after a few hours no matter what foundation I use. I have seen lots of reviews where people have mentioned how they don't like the scent of this, it's a very typical man scent and I actually quite like it. Although if you don't want to smell like a man, don't worry because after a while the smell completely disappears. Unfortunately this product doesn't come with a pump or anything for an easier application, so you do have to pour some out onto the back of your hand and then apply to the face in circular motions, Nikkie said to keep rubbing it into the skin until it becomes tacky then just apply your makeup how you usually would. This product makes my makeup apply so much smoother and has made it stay on all day, apart from my chin area since I have a habit of touching my face there and my makeup ends up rubbing off anyway.

I believe this works for most skin types as I have seen a lot of different reviews of people with all different skin types that say they love it, I honestly couldn't tell you what my skin type is at the moment.. I used to have very dry skin but recently its more combination. If you have the same issue as me with your makeup not lasting, I would definitely recommend trying this product out.
